62. George "Frederick" Cleghorn. Son of Archibald Chisholm & Jessie May "Jess" Cleghorn. Born 5 Mar 1867 in South Tweedside. Died 18 Jul 1949. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
Fred was the son of Jessie Cleghorn. He lived in South Tweedside. He had two children by his first wife, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Swan, and twelve children by his second wife, Maud McIntyre.
He first married Elizabeth Jane "Lizzie" Swan, daughter of John "Jack" Swan & Margaret M. Moffitt, 10 Apr 1893 in St. Stephen, Charlotte Co., NB. Born 30 Jul 1865 in Tweedside. Died 5 Jul 1901 in Tweedside. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.


From Saint Croix Courier, Saint Stephen, 13 Apr 1893: Married St. Stephen, 16th inst., by Rev. John Anderson, B.D., George Frederick Cleghorn and Lizzie Jane Swan both of Harvey (York Co.).

Lizzie died at age 36 years. Her name is on her parents gravestone.


They had the following children:

He second married Maud McIntyre, 24 May 1906 in Charlotte Co., NB. Born 5 Sep 1887. Died 1 Feb 1941. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

Also in photograph is #216 above Arthur Cleghorn RN 3258545 and two Anderson boys. Photograph taken after they had been inducted into the army but before they received their uniforms. They were all inducted on the same day.
