81. James William "Jim" Cleghorn. Son of John "Joak" Cleghorn & Margaret Ann Piercy. Born 5 Jul 1888 in South Tweedside. Died 11 Jul 1923 in Tweedside. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Jim died of tuberculosis.

From newspaper obituary (1923):
James Cleghorn
Tweedside, NB, Sept 1 -- The said death of James Cleghorn occurred at his home here on Wednesday, July 11. Deceased was 34 years of age and had been in poor health for some time. Although his death was not unexpected it came as a great shock to his many relatives and friends.


He was a general favorite with all who knew him, and will be greatly missed in the community.
Deceased is survived by his wife (nee Miss Josephine Cleghorn), one son, Donald, and one daughter, Charlotte, his sorrowing parents, Mr and Mrs John Cleghorn, and five brothers, Robert of McAdam, Charles of Lake Road, Wesley and Thomas of Harvey, and Elvin of South Tweedside, are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband, father, son and brother.
The pall bearers were Arthur, George and Herbert Cleghorn and Wallace Morrow. Interment was made in the Harvey Cemetery. The floral tributes were beautiful.


Deepest sympathy is expressed by the whole community in their sad bereavement.

He married Josephine Margaret "Josie" Cleghorn, daughter of George "Frederick" Cleghorn & Elizabeth Jane "Lizzie" Swan. Born 25 Jun 1893 in South Tweedside. Died 7 Dec 1967.


They had the following children:
