38. Elizabeth Ann "Bessie" Coburn . Daughter of William Cockburn (Coburn) & Jane Robison. Born 28 Oct 1846 in Harvey. Christen 24 Jan 1847 in Harvey By Rev. Daniel McCurdy. Died 5 Dec 1930 in Boston. Buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Melrose, Mass.

    Witnesses to marriage were William McMullen and Margaret Jane Cockburn.

    Elizabeth Ann "Bessie" Coburn and her husband Phillip Owen Law lived at Lynfield Centre, Mass.   They raised eight children:   Minnie, Ethel, Walter, Mona, Tressa, Grace, Ada and Ernest.   Three sons died in infancy.   (Robert Law died 13 Aug 1872, age 3 yr. 7 mo., eldest son--Daily Telegraph, 17 Aug 1872.)

    She married Phillip Owen Law, 21 Feb 1868 in Harvey, York Co., NB, By Rev. Samuel Johnson . Born 1842 in NB. Died 4 Mar 1913. Buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Melrose, Mass.

    Query in New Brunswick Genealogical Society Newsletter, Issue #12, June 1982, page 38:   "Q443.   LAW.   Need any info on Phillip LAW, bro to Ada and Robert LAW.   Phillip m. Elizabeth COBURN (2-29-1868) fr Harvey Sta and lived (?) in Moncton area.   They had 11 ch and moved to Mass. ca 1892.   Need Phillip's parents, where they came from etc.   Jean Law Geyer, 821 Lucerne Pkway, Cape Coral, FL 33904 USA."

39. John Lesley Coburn . Son of William Cockburn (Coburn) & Jane Robison. Born 21 Oct 1848 in Harvey. Christen 24 Dec 1848 in Harvey By Rev. Daniel McCurdy.

    No further information on this family.   It is believed they went west to Seattle.

    He married Mary Ann Torrance, daughter of Robert Torrance & Ellen MacDonald, 14 Sep 1873 in St. Paul's Church, Fredericton By John M. Brooke. Born 6 Aug 1853 in Scot.

    Witnesses to marriage were S. E. Atherton and Ella Killeen.

    They had the following children:

40. Marshall "Mate" Coburn . Son of William Cockburn (Coburn) & Jane Robison. Born 17 Nov 1850 in Harvey. Died 29 Mar 1928 in McAdam. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer. Religion Presbyterian.

    Mate and Cassie were farmers in Harvey.   Children:   Harry G. (d. 21 yrs.); David E. (d. 17 yrs.); Mamie, Helen Elizabeth, Alice (d. 8 yrs.), Ross and Marshall (died infancy).

    Marshall Coburn Died At McAdam

    McAdam, March 30 -- At McAdam on Thursday, Marshall Coburn suddenly passed way.   He had lived at Harvey the greater part of his life, where he was a member of the Presbyterian Church.   He leaves one son, Ross Coburn, of Aroostook Junction, also two daughters, Mrs Allan Cameron, Auburn, Me., and Mrs James O. Piercy, of McAdam; three brothers, James, Stephen and George, and one sister, Mrs George Gartley, all of Vancouver.

    The service at the home will be conducted by Rev G. A. Ross.   Interment will be at Harvey, where Rev G. K. Knight will officiate.

    Inscription on gravestone in Harvey Settlement Cemetery:    "In loving memory of Marshall Coburn, 1850-1928; Catherine Coburn, died May 4, 1919 aged 57 years; (right side) Alice M., Nov 8, 1897-May 3, 1905; Marshall H., July 15, 1905-Sept 29, 1905; (facing Hwy) In memory of Harry G., died Sept 10, 1903, aged 21 years; David E., died Sept 23, 1903 aged 17 years."

    He married Catherine "Cassie" Graham, daughter of Gilbert Graham & Jane McCormick, 10 Nov 1881 in York Co., NB By William Ross, Presbyterian . Born 1862 in Magundy. Died 5 May 1919 in Harvey. Buried 7 May 1919 in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Witnesses to marriage were George T. Coburn and Matilda Graham.

    Mrs Marshall Coburn

    Harvey Station, N.B., May 6 - Mrs Cassie Coburn, wife of Marshall Coburn, died at her home here on Sunday after several months illness.   She was a lady who had a wide circle of friends and was much esteemed.   She was a native of Prince William, being a daughter of Gilbert Graham, one of the pioneers of that parish.   She is survived by her husband, two daughters and one son.   Her daughters are Mrs Allen Cameron, of Auburn, Me., and Mrs James Piercy, of McAdam, both of whom were with her when she died.   Her son is W. Ross Coburn, of this place.

    They had the following children:
