    From Daily News, Saint John, 16 Oct 1872:   "Thomas Nesbitt and Miss Janet Little were married on 9 Sept 1872 at the residence of the bride's father, by Rev. Samuel Johnson."

    From York County, New Brunswick, Marriage Records, Book D, 1866-1879 compiled by Elizabeth S. Sewell 2001, the marriage date is 9 Oct 1872,

Unsure which is correct date.

    Witnesses to marriage were Margaret Little and David Campbell.

    George did not have a middle name, but used the initial "R" to distinguish him from other George Embletons who lived in the area.   He was called "Geordie".   George and his wife Jane Briggs were farmers on the Swan Road in Harvey and had seven children.

    He married Jane Briggs, daughter of Thomas Briggs & Margaret Darling, 27 Jan 1871 in Harvey, York Co., NB By Rev. Samuel Johnson . Born 1844 in Harvey. Christen 10 Feb 1845 in Harvey By Rev. Daniel McCurdy . Died 3 Jan 1909 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Religion Presbyterian.

    Robert was known as "Bozie Bob" to distinguish him from other Robert Embletons in the area, and he had a long beard.   He was a farmer in the "rear settlement" in Harvey, near his father.   They had nine children.

    From Daily Telegraph, 17 Aug 1872:   "Married by Rev. Samuel Johnson, at residence of bride's father, 25th July, Robert W. Embleton and Miss Elizabeth Piercy, all of Harvey."

    Witnesses to marriagae were William Embleton and Elizabeth A. Cockburn.

    He married Elizabeth "Bess" Piercy, daughter of Walter Piercy & Sarah Swan, 25 Jul 1872 in Harvey, York Co., NB By Rev. Samuel Johnson. Born 17 Dec 1851 in Harvey. Christen 23 Mar 1852 in St. Paul's Church Records, Fredericton. Died 12 Feb 1890.
