51. Mary Agnes Lister . Daughter of Edward Irving Lister & Mary Ann Piercy. Born 4 Jun 1868 in Harvey. Died 1 Jun 1960 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Mrs Mary Little Died at Harvey

    Harvey Station -- The death occurred of Mary Agnes Little, widow of Ebenezer Little, at the Harvey Community Hospital.   She was 91.   Mrs Little was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Ann Lister.

    She is survived by two sons, Irvine of Harvey and Norman of Dawson Creek, B.C., two daughters, Mrs Arthur Cunningham of Harvey and Mrs Lewis Rutherford of Tweedside; two sisters, Mrs Lottie Embleton and Mrs Ida Lord, both of Harvey; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by one son, two daughters and her husband who died 23 years ago.

    Funeral services were held from the home of Mrs Little's son, Irvine, with whom she had lived.   Service was conducted by Rev. William Randall assisted by Rev. Jackson.   Many floral tributes were received.   Pallbearers were Arnold Little, Ward Little and Harry Little, all nephews of the deceased, Delbert Lister, Earle Lister and Irvine Embleton.   Flower bearers were Maurice Lister, Melvin Henry, Lester Embleton, George McFadyen, Douglas Earle and Dayton Davis.

    She married Ebenezer "Eben" Little, son of David Little & Margaret Ann Herbert, 15 Oct 1884. Born 15 Sep 1863 in Harvey. Died 12 Feb 1937 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer.

    From his father, Eben inherited "the north side of the old homestead lot of land and also the south east triangle of the lot of land adjoining said homestead lot, said triangle being formed by a little brook on one side and two roads on the other sides, containing 5 or 6 acres more or less."

    Ebenezer Little

    Coburn, York Co., Feb. 24 -- Ebenezer Little died at his home here after a lingering illness.   He was born in September 1863, youngest of a family of nine children born to David and Margaret (Herbert) Little, pioneer settlers of Harvey.   He had spent his life on the old homestead.   He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Mary Agnes Lister; three daughters, Mrs David Embleton, Mrs Arthur Cunningham, this place, and Mrs Lewis Rutherford, Tweedside; two sons, Norman, Peace River, Alta., and Irvine, at home, and one sister, Mrs W. W. E. Smith, Harvey Station.

    The funeral was held from his home, when Rev. Alex MacKay, pastor of the United Church, conducted a service and a quartet, Mrs George Speedy, Mrs Edgar Coburn, Gilbert Robison and G. Wesley Coburn sang.   Pallbearers were six nephews, Arnold Little, Earle Lister, David Little, Melvin Henry, Ward Little and Maurice Lister.   The floral offerings included a piece from the Universalist Sewing Circle.   Interment was made in the family lot at Manners Sutton, with prayers at the grave by Mr MacKay.

52. Margaret "Ellen" Lister . Daughter of Edward Irving Lister & Mary Ann Piercy. Born 12 Aug 1870 in Harvey. Died 2 Nov 1936 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    She first married Robert Henry, son of James Henry & Isabella Dickson, 24 Sep 1890 in Harvey. Born 12 Jul 1863 in Scotland. Died 2 Aug 1905 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer. Religion Presbyterian.

    Robert appears in the 1881 Census as "Talbot", but as "Robert" in the 1891 and 1901 Census.   In the 1901 Census, John Henry, brother, is living with Robert and his family.

    They had the following children:

    She second married Frederick Little, son of James Little & Isabella "Belle" Herbert, 19 Sep 1906 in Harvey. Born 27 Apr 1861 in Harvey. Died 1945. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Fred lived at Upper York Mills.
