10. Jane Wilson. Daughter of Robert Wilson & Mary Brown. Born 14 May 1837 in Lennilhill, Scotland. Died 16 May 1918 in Harvey Station. Buried in Magundy Cemetery. Religion Seventh-Day Adventist.

 

    Jane was a tiny baby when she sailed from Berwick, Scotland with parents and siblings on the brig Cornelius of Sunderland, in May 1837, with other first settlers of Harvey. She was one of the founders of the Lake George Church of Seventh-Day Adventists, organized in 1912.

 

    From York Co NB Marriage Register C 1850-1866 (PANB):   Witnesses to marriage were James J. Wilson (#11 below) and Mary Embleton.   (Jane's name is marriage record is written as Mary Jane.)

 

    She married George Embleton, son of William Embleton & Jane Runchman, 4 Dec 1861 in Harvey By Rev. Samuel Johnson . Born 20 Oct 1834 in England. Died 15 Nov 1895 in Harvey Station. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    George and Jane lived on a farm in Tweedside, York Co, NB; but later moved to the Lake Road, Harvey/Lake George, York Co, NB.

 

    They had the following children:

11. James Jonathan Wilson . Son of Robert Wilson & Mary Brown. Born 24 Mar 1842 in Harvey, York Co, NB. Christen 8 May 1842 in Harvey By Rev. Daniel McCurdy. Died 12 Mar 1931 in Harvey Station. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer.

 

    The Wilson family came to NB in 1837 with the first settlers of Harvey Settlement, and James Jonathan (known as "Jimsy") was born in NB.   He farmed the original farm granted to his father, Robert, Lot #10, 88 acres.

 

    James and Mary had eleven children.   After the death of Mary, James married Letitia Phillips Burtt.

    He first married Mary Christine Embleton, daughter of William Embleton & Jane Runchman, 17 Feb 1863 in Harvey Settlement By Rev. Samuel Johnson. Born 6 Aug 1843 in Harvey. Christen 26 Aug 1843 in Harvey By Rev. Daniel McCurdy . Died 14 May 1896 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Letitia was previously married to John Burtt and was a widow when she married James Johathan Wilson.
