     Transcription of Letter #5, addressed to Mr (or Mrs?) Elixander Willson Harvy Settlement York County NB, mailed at Wilson's Beach March (date not clear), from uncle and aunt, Thos and Mary Brown.   (Very difficult to transcribe/jsh)

              Hed herber Island

              March 14, 1874

 

Dear Nerieye(?)

 

  I received your leter and was glad to here that you are all well.   At present thank God we are all well at present.   I had a letter from Jamey and they are all well.    ______ when I got your letter from Simon Stevens I was just after _____ whit ____ just ___ ___.   I have plenty on hand.   I have 6 hundred boxes in the Smok house that will be ready in the 1 st April.   I got (?) Some berles on hand but I could not recommend (?) Them tho were a impact with the frost before salten(?)   Alix you may send the money aney way you like you know best.   I am not there but we will be in St. Andrews on Tuesday or all the weak fishing and if I have aney luck I will taley g raph ( telegraph ) you and I will fill all the berles you want, it will cost you nothing.   You can stop in the boat a long with our, Alix.   I think it will be better for me to write for you when I get to St. Andrews.

  Alix I just got word from one of the fisherman the heren gone to Black herber and we will be there first.

  Also you may send it to Simon Stevens, Eastport, in a fortnight I will be on hand for you any kind you want.
