1. Andrew D. Montgomery . Born Approx 1787 in Eng. Or Scot.
Andrew Montgomery, age 50, labourer; wife Nancy, age 50; children: Andrew, 22; David, 20; William, 17; Jane, 15; and Margaret, 11, were on the list of emigrants who asked for land in Harvey Settlement in August 1837. (It is believed they were with the pioneer settlers who came to New Brunswick on the Cornelius in 1837.)
Andrew received Lot 14E in Harvey Settlement.
PANB RS-272 Land Petition Vol 30, No. 123, dated 12 Mar 1847, Andrew D. Montgomery and his wife Agnes Montgomery sold their land to Aaron Dorcas Senior, and on 8 Aug 1857 Aaron Dorcas assigned Lot No. 14 to his son Andrew Dorcas (PANB reel F9060).
Very little is known of this family, they did not stay in Harvey Settlement very long. They left the area before the 1851 Census.
Son William married Isabella Dorcas, and in the 1851 Census they were living in Red Rock area of Stanley, York Co., NB.
He married Nancy (Or Agnes). Born Approx 1787 in Eng. Or Scot.
