8. Joseph Grieve . Son of William Grieve & Eleanor Turnbull. Born 7 Jan 1833 in Elilaw, Northumberland, England. Died 23 Nov 1833 in Elilaw, Northumberland, England. Buried in England.

 

 

9. Margaret Grieve . Daughter of William Grieve & Eleanor Turnbull. Born 19 Nov 1834 in Collingwood House, England. Christen 26 Nov 1834 in Branton, Northumberland, England.

 

    Margaret probably died in Sandwick, BC after 1907.

 

   She married John "Jack" Cessford, son of David Cessford & Margaret "Peggy" Piercy. Born 27 Sep 1834 in Wooler, England. Christen 5 Oct 1834 in United Presbyterian, Cheviot St., Wooler. Died 25 Nov 1907 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer. Religion Presbyterian.

 

    Jack and Margaret were farmers in Harvey.   Jack is buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery, but Margaret's name is not on the gravestone.   She may have moved to British Columbia after Jack died.   There is a picture taken in BC of Margaret with one of her brothers who lived in BC.   Also three of their sons moved to BC.

 

    In the 1861 Census they owned or occupied 25 acres improved land and 55 acres unimproved land, cash value of farm was 100 pounds, value of implements and machinery, 2 pounds.   They had 2 horses, 2 milch cows, 1 other neat cattle, 4 sheep, 2 swine; produced 150 lb. butter, 12 lb. wool, 5 tons hay, 250 bu. oats, 20 bu. buckwheat and 80 bu. potatoes.

 

   They had the following children:

10. Eleanor Grieve . Daughter of William Grieve & Eleanor Turnbull. Born 24 Jun 1837 in At Sea On "Cornelius" Off Coast Of Newfoundland. Christen 15 Jul 1837 in Cathedral, Fredericton. Died Jul 1837 in Fredericton, NB.

 

    Eleanor Grieve aged 2 weeks baptized July 15, 1837, daughter of William and Eleanor Grieve, residence - Fredericton, by T. M. Stirling.    (PANB F1114 - Cathedral, Fredericton)

William Grieve wo died late late 1874 or early 1875 is probably buried here as well.
