18. Thomas "Sterling" Black Patterson . Son of James Wesley "Jim" Patterson & Sarah Ann "Annie" Brown. Born 8 Aug 1898 in Harvey. Died 12 Oct 1910 in Fredericton. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.     Died 12 Oct 1910, age 12 years, of appendicitis.   Unsuccessful operation was carried out in Fredericton.   (Church records).

In the audio excerpts below Sterling's brother Hazen Patterson talks about how smart his brother Sterling was and on his unfortunate premature death due to complications following appendicitis surgery.
