33. Elizabeth Henderson "Lizzie" McKay. Daughter of John Robertson McKay & Elizabeth Piercy. Born 28 Dec 1847 in Fredericton. Christen 17 Jul 1850 in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Fredericton. Died 23 Oct 1922 in Harvey. Buried in Belleisle Bay. Occupation School Teacher.

Elizabeth Henderson Yandall
At Manners Sutton, York Co., N.B. at the home of her cousin, Mrs Andrew Dorcas, there passed away on Oct 23rd, Elizabeth Henderson Yandall. Mrs Yandall was a native of Fredericton, and was a daughter of the late John R. and Elizabeth McKay. As a girl she trained as school teacher and taught school in Charlotte County and in her native city up till the time of her marriage. At the death of her husband in 1883 she returned to the teaching profession and taught continuously in the St. John schools until 1911, when she retired after 37 years of actual teaching in the province. She was among the first of the teachers of New Brunswick to receive a pension. In 1911 she moved to Vancouver, where she lived until 1920, when she returned to Eastern Canada. She leaves to mourn her loss one son Byron A. Yandall, of Kingleard Lake, Ont., two sisters, Miss M. G. McKay, of Vancouver, and Mrs S. A. Urquhart, of Cambridge, Mass., and one niece, Miss May DeL Allan, of ----ton, Mass.

She married Caleb Alfred Yandall, 13 Jul 1875 in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Fredericton By Rev. John M. Died 1883. Occupation School Teacher.
Witnesses to marriage were J. W. Spurden and S. J. Campbell.
