57. Thomas Piercy. Son of Walter Piercy & Sarah Swan. Born 24 Jun 1853 in Harvey. Christen 10 Jul 1853 in Harvey By Rev. Daniel McCurdy. Died 9 Feb 1920 in Dugald, Manitoba.

Thomas and his wife Janet "Janie" Kelly lived in Dugald, Manitoba, and had six children. There are three different spellings of the surname in this family: Piercy, Percy and Pearcy. For further information on this family see the book, "The Swan Family -- early 1800's - 1980".

He married Janet I. "Janie" Kelly, daughter of Mr. Kelly & Elizabeth "Bess" Dryden, 7 Feb 1883 in Harvey, York Co., NB By Robert Nairn, Presbyterian . Born 1853. Died 13 Jul 1936 in Dugald, Manitoba.

From The Daily Telegraph, Saint John, 10 Feb 1883: “Married Harvey (York Co.) 7th inst., by Rev. R. Nairn, B.A., Thomas Piercy and Janet I. Kelly.”

Witnesses to marriage were Alexander Swan and Christina Piercy.
