1. John Nesbitt. Born Approx 1790 in Northumberland, Eng. Died 11 Apr 1850 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer. Religion Presbyterian.

There were two Nesbitt families among the first Harvey Settlement settlers, John Nesbitt and James Nesbitt.   Relationship of the two is unknown at this time.

    John Nesbitt, with his wife Ann, and eight children came to America on the brig "Cornelius of Sunderland" with the other first settlers of Harvey.   They settled on Land Grant Lot 20 E (where Claude Swan lived).   John died at age 60, in 1850.  

  He married Ann Reavely. Born Approx 1795 in Eng. Died 25 Feb 1864 in Harvey.  No further information.

    They had the following children:
