18. George B. Brown . Son of Thomas Messer Brown & Isabelle Miller. Born 27 Oct 1889 in Wilmot. Died 6 Apr 1957. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer.

 

    He married Lillian May Swan, daughter of Alexander "Sandy" Swan & Isabelle Kay Wilson, 16 Sep 1914. Born 27 May 1897 in Harvey Sta. Died 4 Oct 1989 in Harvey Community Hospital. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

 

    From The Daily Gleaner, 5 Oct 1989:

    BROWN

    At Harvey Community Hospital on Wednesday, October 4, 1989, Lillilan May (Swan) Brown in her 93rd year.   Daughter of the late Alexander and Isabelle Swan.   Survived by one daughter Della Wilson, five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, one son-in-law Lloyd Messer.   Predeceased by her husband George B. Brown, daughter Isabelle Messer, four infant sons, two granddaughters, Betty Jean Wilson and Irene May Wilson.

 

    Resting at the home of her daughter, Patterson Road, Harvey until Friday with prayers at 2:00 followed by service at Knox Presbyterian Church at 2:30, Rev. David Dewar officiating.   Interment in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.   Visiting at the home Thursday afternoon and evening.   Swan Funeral Home, Harvey in charge of arrangements.
