28. Ann "Annie" Cowe. Daughter of James Cowe & Isabelle Donaldson. Born 3 Apr 1849 in Harvey. Christen 13 May 1849 in Harvey By Rev. Daniel McCurdy. Died 17 Nov 1926 in Williamsburg. Buried in Williamsburg, NB.

Death date from Daniel MacMillan's diaries, which spanned the time 1912-1928. Information from Jennifer (MacLean) Hackett, Jun 2007, as follows: Diaries mention: On 17 Nov 1926, that "Charlie Hay's mother" was "very low" that "past Sunday night". On 17 Nov he heard that "she was still lingering". He writes on the 18th (a Thursday evening) that "Mrs Hay passed away yesterday evening about 6 o'clock". The funeral was to be "tomorrow at 2 o'clock". On Sunday the 21st, he writes "Friday the day of the funeral it poured all day." And he goes on to describe details of the service.

She married Aaron Hay, son of William "Billy" Hay & Sarah "Sally" Dorcas, 16 Apr 1868 in St. Paul's Church, Fredericton . Born 7 Feb 1842 in Springhill, York Co. Christen 20 Mar 1842 in Kingsclear Anglican Church. Died 5 Nov 1924. Buried in Williamsburg, NB.

From Cathedral records, Fredericton: "Baptized 20 Mar 1842, Aaron Hay, b. 7 Feb 1842 s/o William and Sarah Hay at Kingsclear, occupation Blacksmith." (PANB F1114, Cathedral, Fredericton)

From Headquarters, 22 Apr 1868: "Married Manse of St. Paul's, 16th inst., by Rev. Dr. Brooke, A. Hay and Miss Anne Cowe, both of Harvey (York Co.)"

Witnesses to marriage were Frederick Y. Perkins and Martha O'Harow.
