Fourth Generation

35. David Cowe. Son of David Cowe & Eleanor Turnbull. Born 1861. Died 1925 in Bamburgh.
David and Ellen spent almost all of their married life at farms at Springhill or East Burton, Bamburgh, where David died in 1925. He was remembered in his later days as a tall man with a grey beard. 'He was a very nice man--by then he was also very deaf so much that he could not join in conversation when they had visitors. He dealt with his deafness by being an avid reader, and like many countrymen of the times, was exceedingly 'well read". The Cowe family, in general, are tall--the genes being carried through the generations. (From Fred Kennington, Dec 2007).

David and Ellen had six children: David, Robert White, Dorothy Isabella Swan, Eleanor Turnbull, Robert Alexander, and Mary Jane.

He married Elllen Bolton White, 1887.

They had the following children:
