Death of Mrs J. W. Piercy

Denman Island, Sep 18 -- The death of Mrs J. W. Piercy has caused quite a gloom over this sequestered isle.   The lady was well known and her bright and cheerful disposition endeared her to a host of friends.   She leaves a bereaved husband and four small children, also father and mothers, brothers and several disters and other relatives.   Mrs Piercy was only in her thirty-second year and her death at this early age is deeply mourned by all.

The funeral, which was largely attended, took place from thehome of Mrs Piercy's mother at Denman Island on Tuesday, the Rev. J. Rowland officiating.   There were many floral tributes.
