26. Ellenor Alice "Ellen" Grieve . Daughter of George Grieve & Jane Nesbitt. Born 19 Oct 1860 in Harvey. Died 1943 in Sandwick, BC. Buried in Sandwick Church Cemetery.

    Ellen was also called "Nell".   She and Ned had three children:   Frank, Sophia and Gertrude.

    She married Edward Thomas "Ned" Garnett, 4 Mar 1880 in By Rev. S. McGregor, Minister Of Saint Andrew's Church, Vict. Born 1856/1857 in Ontario. Died 7 Oct 1892 in Victoria, BC. Buried in Ross Bay Cemetery.

    Ned was the son of Jane and Rothwell Garnett of Delaware, Ontario.   He came to British Columbia from Ontario with his father.   In 1882 he was a Hack Owner on Cormorant Street in Victoria, BC.   In 1887, he was a Cab Proprietor on Ford Street, Victoria.   In 1891 and 1892 he had Hack Stables on 4 Broad and 34 Humboldt Streets.

    Ned died at age 35 years.

    They had the following children:

  121   ii.   Sophia Jane Garnett

  122   iii.   Gertrude Alice "Gertta" Garnett
