31. Joselean "Celia" Burrell . Daughter of Isaac Burrell & Alice Bell Grieve. Born 14 Nov 1855 in Harvey. Died 12 Aug 1893 in Tweedside, NB. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    From Christian Visitor, Saint John, 4 Dec 1878:   "Married Fredericton, 30th Oct., by Rev. A. J. Stevens, Henry Swan and Joselean Burrill, both of Manners Sutton, York Co."   (Also in NB Reporter 20 Nov 1878.)

    Witnesses to marriage were Stephen Swan and Mrs A. J. Stevens.

    Joselean and Harry had seven children, and she died shortly after the birth of their youngest daughter Carrie.

    She married Henry "Harry" Swan, son of Alexander Swan & Mary Taylor, 4 Oct 1878 in Fredericton By Rev. A. J. Stevens, Baptist. Born 18 Jun 1845 in Northumberland, England. Died 1 Feb 1923 in Harvey Station. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer. Religion Presbyterian.

    Harry immigrated to NB in 1851 with his parents and two brothers.   He was the oldest son of four children of Alexander Swan and Mary Taylor.   Harry was a farmer in Tweedside.  

    From newspaper obituary, Feb 1923:

    The messenger of death visited this place Feb 1st and claimed as its victim Henry Swan, one of our oldest and most respected residents.   Deceased was born in Northumberland, England, in 1845, and came to this country with his parents 73 years ago.   He married the daughter of the late I. Burrell, who predeceased him 29 years ago.   He leaves to mourn their loss two daughters, Mrs Alex Michalak of Medford, Mass., Miss Lillian of Auburn, Me., and four sons, Wm A., of New Bedford, Mass., Isaac E. of Ipswich, Mass., Thomas H., Clinton, Iowa and James R., of Tweedside.   The funeral was largely attended, services being conducted by Rev. H. McLean.

    They had the following children:
