25. James Lewis Little . Son of James Little & Isabella "Belle" Herbert. Born 22 Feb 1859 in Harvey. Died 28 Apr 1940 in York Mills. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Death Aged Man

    James L. Little, York Mills, Died at age of 81.

    May 10 -- Friends of James L. Little of York Mills, were shocked to hear of his sudden death on April 28, although having reached the age of 81, he was always active and able to go among his friends.   He leaves to mourn their loss five daughters, Mrs Guy Little, Mrs Elmer Wilkin, Mrs John Briggs, Mrs Lorne Little, and Mrs Harold White of Providence, RI, and one son, James Kenneth, with whom he made his home.

    The funeral service was held in the Universalist Church of which he was a member.   Rev. G. McKay of the McAdam United Church preached a very fitting service.   Six grandsons were pallbearers:   Elwod Little, Claude Little, Lewis Little, Ross Briggs, Allan Briggs and Lloyd Wilkin.   The floral tributes were beautiful and contributed much to the respect with which he was held.

    He married Annie F. Parker, daughter of William Parker & Jane McLean, 11 Nov 1885 in York Co., NB By William Ross, Presbyterian. Born 1866 in Pokiok Settlement. Died 11 Oct 1934. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.      (Birth year either 1866 or 1867.)

    Witnesses to marriage were Thomas H. Little and Maggie L. Wilkins.

    They had the following children:

26. Robert Archibald Little . Son of James Little & Isabella "Belle" Herbert. Born 22 Feb 1859. Died 29 Mar 1929 in York Mills. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Sawmill, Shingle Mill, Butter Tubs.

    Robert operated the saw mill at Upper York Mills, he installed a homemade rotary saw, which he used for years.   He also had a shingle machine, and later made butter tubs.   His son Clarence worked in the mill with him, and they also raised silver foxes.

    Robert A. Little

    Well Known Resident of York Mills Passes Away in Seventieth Year.

    Apr 3 -- The death of Robert A. Little occurred at home, York Mills, on March 29 following an illness of several months.   He was seventy years of age.   For several years he had owned and operated a mill at York Mills, where he manufactured butter tubs, boards and shingles.   He was held in high regard by a large number of friends who will regret to learn of his death.

    Mr Little is survived by his wife, one son Clarence, two sisters, Mrs Johnson of Lawrence Station and Mrs J. Nesbitt of Coburn; three brothers, George, Frederick and James, the later a twin, and one grandchild, Miss Anna Little all of York Mills.

     He married Jane "Janie" Robison, daughter of Marshall Robison & Mary Herbert, 2 Apr 1884 in York Co., NB By Robert Nevin, Presbyterian . Born 24 Oct 1863 in Harvey. Died 19 May 1934 in York Mills, NB. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Religion United Church.

    Witnesses to marriage were Thomas H. Little and Margaret Robinson.

    Mrs Robert Little, Well Known Woman Died At Home

    The death of Mrs Jane Little, widow of Robert Little occurred at her home York Mills early Saturday morning, May 19.

    Mrs Little was born at Harvey Station on October 24, 1863, a daughter of Marshall and Mary Robison, pioneer settlers of Harvey.   Following her marriage she moved to York Mills where she has resided since that time.   She was well known and very highly regarded and her death will be learned of with deep regret by a large circle of friends.   She was a loyal member of the United Church, a life member of the Women's Missionary Society, and an active worker in the sewing circle of the Universalist Church.   She is survived by one son, Clarence Little of York Mills, one grandchild, Miss Anna Little and three brothers, Robert, Kenneth J. and Alex Robison.

    They had the following children:

27. Frederick Little . Son of James Little & Isabella "Belle" Herbert. Born 27 Apr 1861 in Harvey. Died 1945. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Fred lived at Upper York Mills.

    He married Margaret "Ellen" Lister, daughter of Edward Irving Lister & Mary Ann Piercy, 19 Sep 1906 in Harvey. Born 12 Aug 1870 in Harvey. Died 2 Nov 1936 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

28. George Marshall Little . Son of James Little & Isabella "Belle" Herbert. Born 13 Feb 1864 in Harvey. Died 15 May 1950 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    George and Mary lived at Upper York Mills.

    He married Mary Isabel Lister, daughter of James M. Lister & Eleanor "Ellen" Piercy, 29 Aug 1888. Born 13 Oct 1867 in Harvey. Died 29 Dec 1930 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

   Mrs George Little

   Harvey Station, York Co., Dec 31 -- A wide circle of friends were shocked to learn of the death of Mrs George Little, which occurred Monday night at her home at York Mills.   Mrs Little was 63 years of age and was the third daughter of the late Mr and Mrs James Lister, of York Mills, and had lived all her life in that community.   Her kindly disposition made her a general favorite in her neighbourhood.

   Those left to mourn are her husband, one daughter, Mrs Allen Briggs, and four sisters, Mrs Albert Little and Mrs M. A. Little of Coburn, and Mrs Alex Skene and Mrs James Piercy of McAdam; and two brothers, David Lister, of McAdam, and Ward Lister of Vancouver.

   The funeral was held today from the home of her daughter, Mrs Allen Briggs.   The service was conducted by Rev. J. H. McLean, assisted by Rev. George Knight.   The hymns sung were, "Nearer My God To Thee", "I Want To Go There, Don't You", and "Does Jesus Care", by Mr Knight as a solo.   The pallbearers were six nephews, Howard, Clarence, Kenneth and Arnold Little, David Embleton and James Nesbitt.   The floral tributes were many and beautiful.   Interment was in Harvey Cemetery.

    They had the following children:
