13. Thomas Herbert Little . Son of David Little & Margaret Ann Herbert. Born 23 Feb 1853 in Harvey. Died 26 Apr 1927 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer. Religion Presbyterian.

    He married Margaret "Isabel" Embleton, daughter of Robert Embleton & Elizabeth "Betsy" Wilson, 1 Jan 1874 in Harvey, York Co., NB By Rev. Samuel Johnson. Born 23 Mar 1854 in Harvey. Died 23 Jul 1924 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Religion Presbyterian.

    Witnesses to marriage were William Embleton and Mary E. Little.

    They lived on a farm in Little Settlement in Harvey, and had six children.   For further information on this family see the books, "The Wilsons of Harvey", or "The Little Family of Harvey Settlement".

    From newspaper obituary in The Daily Gleaner, 27 Jan 1913:

    Mrs Mary E. Briggs

    Harvey Station, Jan 24 -- Mrs Mary E. Briggs died at her home here yesterday morning after a brief illness.   She was a daughter of the late David Little of Harvey Settlement, and of Mrs Margaret Little, whose death occurred in the same house only a fortnight ago.   Her early years were spent at Little Settlement.   She afterwards resided for some time in Minnesota, but for the last twenty years or more she has resided with her mother here.   She was possessed of many good qualities and had a wide circle of friends who will regret to hear of her death.

    She is survived by one son, Cyrus D. Briggs, who arrived from Minneapolis just in   time to see his mother die.   She is also survived by two brothers, Messrs. Thomas and Eben Little, of Coburn, and one sister, Mrs W. W. E. Smith, of this place.

    She married Matthew Briggs, son of Thomas Briggs & Margaret Darling, 15 Sep 1880 in York Co., NB By Rev. A. J. Mowatt . Born Approx 1858 in Harvey.

    From Weekly Telegraph, 22 Sep 1880: "Married 15th inst., by Rev. A. J. Mowatt, assisted by Rev. Joseph Barker of Sheffield, Matthew Briggs of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Mary Little, third daughter of David Little, Esq. of Manners Sutton, York Co."

    Witnesses to marriage were A. Lawson and Robert Ballentine.

    At the time of their marriage in 1880, Matthew's home was listed as Minneapolis, Minnesota, and they lived in Minnesota for a number of years, however Mary returned to Harvey about 20 years prior to her death.

     Matthew was 72 years of age and living in Minnesota in the 1930 US Census.

16. David "Allan" Little . Son of David Little & Margaret Ann Herbert. Born 17 Jun 1858 in Harvey. Died 27 May 1903 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer. Religion Presbyterian.

    Allan inherited from his father "the south side of the old homestead lot of land which he now occupies the bounds being placed by fences and well known"   (from David Little's Will).   This farm is presently being farmed by his grandson Ronald Little.

    He married Margaret   Ann Lister, daughter of James M. Lister & Eleanor "Ellen" Piercy, 30 Nov 1881 in York Co., NB By James Scott Mullin . Born 18 May 1863 in Harvey. Died 18 Aug 1941 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Witnesses to marriage were Albert Little and Jane Agnes Lister.

    Mrs Allan Little Died Suddenly

    Found Dead in Bed At Home of Daughter in Harvey Station.

    Harvey Station, Aug 18 -- The community was shocked to learn of the death of Mrs Margaret Ann Little this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs G. Wesley Coburn.

    Mrs Little had been visiting at the Coburn cottage at Harvey Lake and yesterday complained of not feeling well so she returned during the afternoon to Manners Sutton.   This morning Mrs Coburn found her dead in bed.   She was 78 years of age and the widow of Allan Little.   Before marriage she was Miss Margaret A. Lister, daughter of James and Ellen (Piercy) Lister of Harvey.

    Mrs Little was well known and very highly regarded.   She was a member of St. Andrews United Church and prominent in all its activities.   She was also an active worker in the Red Cross Society.   She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.   Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Wesley Coburn and Mrs Roy Coburn, three sons, Louis Little of Vancouver, B.C., Arnold Little of Coburn and Ward Little of York Mills, three sisters, Mrs Albert Little of Coburn, Mrs Alex Skene and Mrs James Piercy Sr., McAdam and two brothers, David Lister of McAdam, and Ward Lister of Vancouver, B.C.

    They had the following children:
