52. Thomas Herbert . Son of George Herbert & Isabel "Belle" Atcheson. Born 13 Oct 1863 in Harvey. Died 11 Mar 1924 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Thomas Herbert

    Harvey Station, March 17 -- Friends learned with regret of the death of Thomas Herbert, which occurred Tuesday afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs Matthew Lister, following an illness of a few days from pneumonia.   He is survived by two brothers, Andrew Herbert, of Harvey; Robert Herbert, in the West, and two sisters, Mrs Wilmot Tracey, of Harvey Station, and Mrs Matthew Lister, with whom he resided.

53. Margery Herbert . Daughter of George Herbert & Isabel "Belle" Atcheson. Born 3 Jul 1865 in Harvey. Died 18 Jul 1936 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Margery was the second wife of Matthew Lister.

    Many At Funeral of Late Mrs Matthew Lister--Was Widely Known Woman.

    Harvey Station, July 24 -- The funeral of Mrs Margery Lister, wife of Matthew Lister, a well known resident of Harvey who passed away on July 18th was held from her late home on Monday afternoon and was largely attended by relatives and friends of the family.

    The service was conducted by Rev. A. McKay, pastor of St. Andrew's United Church, assisted by Rev. J. H. MacLean of West Side Kirk, West Saint John.

    The pallbearers were George, Roy and Emery Lister, David Rutherford, Lewis Herbert and B. L. Paul.   The many beautiful floral tributes included a flat bouquet from the W.M.S. of Harvey.

    Mrs Lister is survived by her husband, one son, Maurice, at home, one sister, Mrs Wilmot Tracey of Harvey, two brothers, Robert, of Lethbridge, Alta., and Andrew, of Harvey.

    Among those from outside points who attended the service were Nicholas Lister of Woodstock, NB, Roy H. Hunter of Nipawim, Sask., Mr and Mrs B. L. Paul and son Roy of Toronto, R. E. Herbert of Lethbridge, Alta.

    Interment was made in the Harvey Cemetery.

    She married Matthew Henry Lister, son of Edward Irving Lister & Mary Ann Piercy, 9 May 1906 in York Co., NB. Born 6 Nov 1865 in Harvey. Died 29 Jun 1946 in Fredericton. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer.

    Late M. H. Lister.   Well Known Resident of Harvey Station Suffered Stroke.   Many At Funeral.

    Harvey Station, July 19 -- The death of Matthew H. Lister at the Fredericton Hospital on June 29th removed from Harvey one of its oldest residents.   He suffered a stroke about two and a half years ago and had been bedfast every since.   Mr Lister was born at Harvey, Nov. 6th, 1869, the son of the late Edward and Mary Ann (Piercy) Lister.   He was a life long resident of this place, highly respected by all who knew him and he will ever be remembered for his kindly manner and thoughtfulness for others.  

    For a number of years he was councillor.   He was also a member of the Session of the United Church.

    He is survived by four sons, George of West Saint John; Roy and Emery of McAdam; and Maurice of Harvey; two daughters, Mrs David Rutherford, of McAdam and Mrs George McFadyen of Harvey.   Ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.   He also leaves two brothers and four sisters, Nicholas, of Westfield; Thomas of Harvey; Mrs Eben Little, Mrs Kenneth Embleton, Mrs John Embleton of Harvey, Mrs Raymond Lord of Ipswich, Mass.   John E. Lister, who passed away last September, was another brother.

54. Isabella Herbert . Daughter of George Herbert & Isabel "Belle" Atcheson. Born 7 Dec 1867 in Harvey. Died 13 Jun 1896 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

55. Jane "Janie" Herbert . Daughter of George Herbert & Isabel "Belle" Atcheson. Born 19 Dec 1869 in Harvey. Died 30 Dec 1944/1945 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Mrs E. J. Tracy Dead

    Well Known Resident of Harvey Station Had Been Ill Short Time

    Harvey Station, N.B., Jan 9 -- The passing of Mrs Wilmot J. Tracy on Saturday evening, Dec. 30th, came as a shock to her many friends and relatives.

    Mrs Tracy, who was formerly Miss Jane Herbert, a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs George Herbert, was born as Harvey Station and lived her entire life here.   She was a member of the United Church, the W.M.S., the Red Cross Society and the W.A. of St. James' Church.

    Mrs Tracy is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs Douglas Fisher of Truro, N.S., and Miss Marjorie Tracy at home; two sons, Edgar Tracy of Toronto and Allen G. Tracy of Fredericton; and six grandchildren.   Robert Herbert of Lethbridge, Alta., and Andrew Herbert of Lakeville, N.B. are brothers.

    The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 from St. James' Church and was largely attended.   Rev. Ross Robbins conducted the service and the choir sang by request Rock of Ages, O Love That Will Not Let Me Go and Nearer My God to Thee.   Mrs Lloyd Wood was organist.   The pallbearers were Andrew McCullough, Roy Lister, Maurice Lister, Harry Little, Robert Dorcas and Gardiner Essensa.   There were many beautiful flowers.   Burial took place in Harvey Cemetery.

    She married Wilmot Jordan Tracey, son of George E. Tracy & Phoebe B. Smith, 5 Jun 1895 in Harvey Presbyterian Church. Born 1 Dec 1871 in Tracy. Died 11 Oct 1962 in Harvey Community Hospital. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Section Foreman, CPR.

    1901 Census birth date: 1 Dec 1872, age 29 yr.

    Died 11 Oct 1962, age 90 yr 10 mo 10 days, at Harvey Community Hospital.

    Wilmot Jordan Tracy

    The death of Wilmot Jordan Tracy occurred in Harvey Hospital, Harvey Station, on October 11, in his 91st year.   Though in failing health, he was able to take his place in the Church almost every Sunday until three weeks before he passed away.   He will be greatly missed in the community and in the church where he served as elder for many years and was superintendent of St. James Sunday School for twenty-five years.

    Born in Tracy, N.B. on December 1, 1871, he was the son of the late George and Phoebe Tracy, and was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railways for 48 years, retiring in 1936.

     He is survived by two sons, Allen of Harvey Station, Edgar of Guelph, Ontario and two daughters, Miss Marjorie Tracy at home and Mrs Douglas Fisher (Mildred) of Truro, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.   His wife predeceased him in 1944.

    Funeral services were held in St. James United Church conducted by Rev. William Randall assisted by Rev. S. R. Jackson of Knox Presbyterian Church.   The choir was in attendance with Blair Watson as soloist.   Pallbearers were T. K. Craig, Arthur Craig, Maurice Lister, Arthur Smith, Willard Davis and Amos Essensa.   Interment was in the Harvey Cemetery.

    They had the following children:
