After the death of Jack and his wife Betsy Ann, the property was sold to William Grieve on 28 Nov 1902 for the sum of $1150. The property included the southeastern half of lot #6, 50 acres, in Harvey Settlement; and lot #6 second tier east of Cranberry Lake, 100 acres. As three of the Pass children--Arthur Gordon Pass, Lila Elizabeth Pass and William Everett Pass were infants (within the ages of twenty-one) the Supreme Court of Equity of NB on 21 March 1902 appointed John M. Swan their guardian and empowered to sell their estate rights jointly with the other Pass children, Mary Ann McCully and her husband John McCully, blacksmith, McAdam; Susan Charlotte Campbell and her husband George H. Swan died, and on 11 Nov 1902 James Coburn was appointed guardian, and empowered to complete the sale of the said infants interests.
