*********************************************************************************************82. Ella Amanda Coburn . Daughter of Ralph Cockburn (Coburn) & Emma Elkington. Born 27 May 1876 in Harvey. Died 23 Jul 1966 in Winnipeg.
In 1901 Ella was working as a waitress in the Albion Hotel in Portage la Prairie. She married Alfred Thomas Hope 12 Sep 1906 and moved to Elkhorn, Manitoba where they bought a hotel. Later they moved to Winnipeg were their daughter Ivy Willa Hope was born. Alfred died in 1912. Ella married Samuel Lawther in 1919, they moved to Portage la Prairie where they owned the Albion Hotel until 1941, at which time they retired and moved to Winnipeg.
She first married Alfred Thomas Hope, 12 Sep 1906 in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Born 10 Jul 1880 in Blackburn, Lancashire, England. Died 3 Nov 1912 in Winnipeg.
They had the following children:

She second married Samuel Lawther, 27 Aug 1919. Died 5 Oct 1946 in Winnipeg. Occupation Hotel Owner.
83. Lottie May Coburn . Daughter of Ralph Cockburn (Coburn) & Emma Elkington. Born 11 Sep 1879 in Harvey.
She married Charles Thornton, 1903.
Charlie joined the 96th (Royal Winnipeg Rifles) militia at age 18. He was chosen to be part of the Canadian Army Unit that went to London for the Coronation of George V. Charlie was in the 2nd Battalion of the 90th (96th?) during WWI. Charlie worked in the payroll department of the City of Winnipeg.

84. Carrie Astilia Coburn . Daughter of Ralph Cockburn (Coburn) & Emma Elkington. Born 25 Nov 1882 in Harvey, NB.
She was delicate and lived with her mother. She was not married.
