80. John "Wesley" Cleghorn. Son of John "Joak" Cleghorn & Margaret Ann Piercy. Born 22 May 1886 in South Tweedside. Died 25 May 1939 in Harvey Station. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Employee Of CPR.

Died At Harvey
Wesley Cleghorn, Died at Age of 53 Years--Was Well Known.
Harvey Station, June 2 -- The death of Wesley Cleghorn occurred at his home May 25th after several months illness at the age of 53 years. He was a son of John and Margaret Ann Cleghorn. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Clarence and Harold, at home; his aged father and mother, three brothers, Thomas of McAdam Junction; Charles, Lake Road; Elvin of South Tweedside. He was an employee of C. P. R. at Harvey Station. A man of quiet and kindly manners and very highly respected by everyone, he will be greatly missed in the community.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, May 27 at 3 o'clock in the United Church, after a short service at the home was conducted by Rev Alex McKay. .................
The pall-bearers were Wilmot Tracey, Amos Essensa, James Maxwell, Everett Mowatt, Harry Little, Hartley McGee. Members of M. of W No 157 marched in a body to the grave and conducted the burial service.

He married Ella Jane "Nellie" Thompson, daughter of Robert Thompson & Lucinda Fowler, 26 Jun 1912 in Queens Co., NB. Born 13 Mar 1887 in Salmon Creek. Died 17 Jul 1981 in Harvey Community Hospital. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

From The Daily Gleaner, 18 Jul 1981:
CLEGHORN: At the Harvey Community Hospital on July 17, Nellie J. Cleghorn, in her 95th year. Survived by two sons, Clarence of Harvey and Harold of Saint John, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Swan's Funeral Home, Harvey, until Sunday, July 19th when funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Rev. George Stratton officiating. Interment will follow in the Harvey Community Cemetery.

NELLIE J. CLEGHORN
Funeral services for Nellie J. Cleghorn, 95, widow of Wesley Cleghorn, were held from St. James United Church, Harvey Station with Rev George Stratton officiating. She died at the Harvey Community Hospital.
She was the daughter of Lucinda and Robert Thompson of Salmon Creek.
She is survived by two sons, Clarence, Harvey Station; Harold, Saint John; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Interment took place in Harvey Community Cemetery.
