From newspaper clipping (1926):
Milliken - Cleghorn
At St. Stephen, March 15th, by Rev C. R. F. MacLennan, James Frederick Milliken of St. Stephen and Jessie Mildred Cleghorn of Flume Ridge.

Jessie lived most of her life on Flume Ridge, and spent the last few years in St. Stephen. She had six children.

From newspaper obituary (1981)
Jessie Mildred MacIntyre
The death of Jessie Mildred MacIntyre occurred at Charlotte County Hospital on June 10, 1981 following a period of illness of nearly five months.

She was born in Flume Ridge on June 25, 1901, youngest of a family of nine children of Alexander and Rachel (Breen) Cleghorn. She lived most of her life in Flume Ridge, moving to St. Stephen in the fall of 1973.

For many years while living in Flume Ridge, Mrs MacIntyre faithfully wrote the news of her area for the Saint Croix Courier, keeping readers informed of the comings and goings, births, deaths and marriages, and other important events of her community.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs Roy Christie (Mary) of St. Stephen; two sons, John of St. Stephen, Lloyd of Brighton, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs James Dunn (Rachel) of Melrose, Mass. and Mrs Vincent Durante (Shirley) of Randolph, Mass.; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter Doris, her husband Roderick and a son Kenneth.
The body rested at the MacDonald Funeral Home in St. Stephen from where the funeral service was held on Saturday, June 13 with Rev E. P. Wickens of St. Stephen officiating. Interment took place in the Brockway Rural Cemetery, at Brockway, NB.

Pallbearers were six nephews: Alexander Cleghorn, Allan Cleghorn, Gerald Cleghorn, Neil Cleghorn, Seymour Johnson and Ronald Christie.

Many beautiful floral tributes were received and numerous donations made to charitable organizations and memorial funds.

Being a hard-working, conscientious person with a loving heart, always ready to do for others, she will be greatly missed by family and friends.

When she was young she had a relationship with a young man, Jimmy Sullivan, a Roman Catholic, who was a member of the relatively large Irish emigrant community that lived on Flume Ridge. There was a very strong bias against Roman Catholics and Protestants developing relationships so getting married was out of the question.

They had the following children:
306 i. Kenneth Burton Cleghorn

She first married James Frederick "Fred" Milliken, 15 Mar 1926 in St. Stephen, N.B.

She second married Roderick Joseph McIntyre. Born 3 May 1903. Died 29 Jan 1968.

They had the following children:
307 i. Rachel Mary McIntyre
308 ii. Doris Adelia McIntyre
309 iii. Shirley McIntyre
310 iv. John Hazen "Jack" McIntyre
311 v. Lloyd McIntyre
