Funeral services were held for Nicholas Wilkin Little of McAdam at St. Paul's United Church. Rev. Vera Simons officiated followed by a memorial service by the McAdam Branch #7 of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was also a member of the Ashley Masonic Lodge #35 F and AM who held a memorial service.

Born in Harvey Station on Dec 31, 1899 he was the youngest son of the late Thomas Herbert and Margaret (Wilkin) Little. He was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Hugh and Geoffrey, and a sister Mrs Edward Young (Jean).

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Coburn) Little, three sons, Donald of McAdam; Ralph of Honeydale; and Ross of New Maryland and two daughters, Mrs Roberta Gillespie (Sandra) and Mrs C. James Little (Norma), both of Harvey Station; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, four nieces and three nephews.

The pallbearers were grandsons Terrance, James, Michael and Mitchell Little and William and Ronald Gillespie. Interment in Rockland Cemetery at McAdam in the spring.

He first married Doris Marguerite Lister, daughter of George Irvine "Dode" Lister & Jane Eleanor "Janie" Speedy. Born 8 May 1904 in McAdam. Died 15 Mar 1923 in McAdam. Buried in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam.

Doris was the first wife of Nicholas Little, and she died three days after the birth of her only child, Donald Lister Little, b. 12 Mar 1923.

The community of McAdam was shocked and saddened March 14 by the sudden death of Mrs Doris Little, wife of Nicholas Little, after a brief illness. Deceased was but nineteen years of age, was possessed of a bright, loveable disposition and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends as her bright smile and kindly word were ever ready to greet all.

Besides a sorrowing husband and infant son she leaves to mourn their loss her parents, Mr and Mrs George Lister, four brothers, Gordon of the Canadian west, Roy, Lenwood, George, and four sisters, Mrs Arden Moffitt, Mrs Roy McKinley, Misses Dorothy and Leta at home, who have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.

He second married Elizabeth Isabell Coburn, daughter of Henry Edgar "Ed" Coburn & Vercelia Victoria "Celia" Little, 6 Jun 1926 in McAdam, NB . Born 27 Aug 1904. Died 5 Jan 1993 in DECH, Fredericton. Buried in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam.

At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB, January 5, 1993, Elizabeth Isabel Little, wife of the late Nicholas Wilkin Little of McAdam, NB. Survived by three sons, Donald and wife Ruth of McAdam, Ralph and wife Ruby of Honeydale, Ross and wife Virginia of Fredericton; two daughters Sandra and husband Robert Gillespie of Harvey, Norma and husband James Little of Harvey, 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Resting at St. Paul's United Church, McAdam, NB, from where funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 7, 1993 at 2 pm. Visiting hours will be held at the church on Wednesday, January 6, 1993 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. An Order of Eastern Star Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 1993 at 7 pm at the church. Interment at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements held by S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB.
