The funeral of Sterling W. Little, 86, of Harvey Station, was held from Swan's Funeral Home with Rev. David Chesney officiating.

He was born in Harvey Station, the son of the late William and Emily (Coburn) Little and lived a majority of his life on the family farm with the exception of seven years he worked for Canadian Pacific Railway, Brownville, Maine.

He was secretary-treasurer for the Farmers' Trading Co. for several years and a past member of the Harvey Volunteer Fire Department and member of Cherry Mountain Lodge F & AM No. 50.

He was a Jersey Cattle Breeder previous to 1954 when due to ill health, he had to dispose of his herd. Following this he became involved in poultry farming until 1966 when he retired.

He is survived by his wife Annie (Halford) Little; two sons, Karl, Oakville, Ont., Leslie, Harvey Station; two daughters-in-law, Shirley, Oakville and Joan, Harvey Station; one grandson Richard, Oakville and two granddaughters Kim Johnson and Connie Sloan; two great granddaughters Teresa and Gail Johnson all of Harvey Station.

He was predeceased by three brothers Norman, Gilbert and Wesley and one sister Annie; one granddaughter, Sharon, of Oakville and one grandson, Randal, of Harvey Station.

Pallbearers were Gray Little, Mitchell Little, Roderick Little, Ronald Little, Vaughn Little and Earle Patterson.

He married Annie Isabelle Halford, daughter of Andrew M. Halford & Frances M. "Fanny" Moody. Born 30 Oct 1905 in Harvey. Died 10 Oct 1994 in DECH, Fredericton. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

The passing of Annie Isabelle (Halford) Little of Harvey Station, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on October 10, 1994 in her 89th year. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Frances Halford. Survived by Karl and wife Shirley of Oakville, Ont., Leslie and wife Joan of Harvey Station, one grandson, Richard Little of Burlington, Ont., two granddaughters, Kim Johnson and Connie Little, Harvey Station, great grandchildren Theresa and Gail Johnson, Harvey and Jake Little, Burlington, step-great granddaughter Dionne and Denine of Burlington; one sister, Pearle Swan of Fredericton, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Sterling Little, granddaughter Sharon Little, and grandson Randall Little, sister Martha McLean and brother Roy Halford.

Resting at Swan Funeral Home, Harvey from where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 2 pm. Interment in Harvey Community Cemetery. Rev. K. Ruth Stuart officiating. Visiting hours Tuesday 7-9 and Wednesday 3:30-5:00 and 7-9 pm. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
