187. Ward Allan Little. Son of David "Allan" Little & Margaret Ann Lister (link to Lister family pages). Born 10 Nov 1898 in Harvey. Died 6 Mar 1985 in DECH, Fredericton. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Millwright, Briggs & Little Woolen Mills.

 

    From The Daily Gleaner - 7 Mar 1985:

    LITTLE -- At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, March 6th, 1985, Ward A. Little of York Mills in his 87th year.  Survived by three daughters, Mrs Joe Thompson (Lillian), Mrs Carl Harris (Avis), Mrs Alvin Moffitt (Jean), one sister Mrs Lila Coburn, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    Resting at his home until Saturday where funeral service will be held at 2 pm. Rev. William Randall officiating.  Interment in Harvey Community Cemetery.  Swan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

 

    He married Emily Selena Kingston. Born 12 Dec 1902 in Saint John, NB. Died 13 Sep 1982 in DECH, Fredericton. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Emily's father - George Kingston, Fredericton Junction, and mother - Ethel Walsh, Molles River, NB.

    Ward and Emily lived at York Mills, first at Upper Mills where they had a farm, then later moved next to Briggs and Little Woolen Mills when Ward became involved in the operation of the mill.

 

    From The Telegraph Journal - 14 Sep 1982:

    LITTLE - At the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital, September 13, 1982, Mrs Emily S. Little of York Mills; survived by her husband, Ward Little, three daughters, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, several nieces and nephews.

    Resting at her home, from where the funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Chesney officiating.  Interment in Harvey Community Cemetery.  Arrangements by Swan Funeral Home, Harvey.

 

    They had the following children:
