130. Alma Isabell Little. Daughter of George Marshall Little & Mary Isabel Lister (link to Lister family pages). Born 17 Jun 1897 in York Mills. Died 26 Nov 1982 in Moncton Hospital. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

 

   From The Daily Gleaner, 27 Nov 1982:

    Mrs Alma Briggs

    Mrs Alma Isabel Briggs of Riverview and formerly of York Mills, died Friday at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness.  She was 85.

    Born in York Mills, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Lister) Little.  She was a member of St. Paul's United Church, Riverview, and a life member of the Saxby Temple No. 35 Pythian Sisters of Riverview.  Her husband, the late Allan Briggs, predeceased her in 1932.

    She is survived by her daughter, Mrs Merle Robinson (Katrine) with whom she lived, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

    The body is resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Moncton from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, Nov 28 at 2:30 pm.  The body will be forwarded to the Swan Funeral Home, Harvey Station where a prayer service will be held on Tuesday, Nov 30 at 2 pm.  Interment will follow in Harvey Cemetery.

 

    She married Allan Thomas Briggs, son of Thomas Briggs & Sarah Jane "Janie" Swan, 27 Sep 1922. Born 31 Oct 1894 in Harvey Sta. Died 4 Jul 1932. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Allan died at age 38 years.  Allan and Alma lived at York Mills, and had two children.

 

    They had the following children:

391 ii. Betty Briggs
