51. John D. "Jack" Little. Son of David Little & Margaret Ann Herbert (link to Herbert family pages). Born 13 Apr 1847 in Harvey. Christen 27 Apr 1847 in Harvey By Rev. Daniel McCurdy. Died 23 Sep 1905 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer.

John did not have a middle name but took the initial "D" as a middle name to distinguish him from other John Little in Harvey at that time. He inherited from his father Lot 5 in the village of Harvey. (Original land granted to William Embleton, and later sold to David Little.)

Maggie had four daughters: Edith Susanna, Margaret Elizabeth "Lizzie", Jennie and Maude.

Martha was John Little's second wife. (He was first married to Margaret Coburn and they had four children.) Martha and John had five children. For further information on this family, see page 129 of "The Little Family of Harvey Settlement".

The death of Mrs Martha Little, widow of John Little, occurred at her home last Tuesday morning following an illness of several months. Mrs Little was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs James Wilson and a life long resident of Harvey.

Mrs Little is survived by three daughters: Mrs W. A. MacDonald, Carlisle, Sask., Mrs H. Campbell, Ellsboro, Sask., and Miss Helen, at home, three step-daughters, Miss Jane Little of San Francisco, Elizabeth Butler and Maude Williams of Vancouver, BC., two sisters, Mrs Janie Phillips, Tracy, and Mrs Lottie Wood, Harvey Station, also three brothers, James Wilson of Portland, Lewis Wilson of McAdam and Guy Wilson of Harvey. An only son, Odbur passed away in Sept. 1938.

The funeral was held on Thursday at two o'clock from her late home. The service was conducted by Rev. J. F. McKay, pastor of St. Pauls United Church, McAdam. A quartette from Harvey United Church sang.

The pallbearers were Jardine Wilson, Leonard Embleton, Irving, Harry and Arnold Little. There were many beautiful floral tributes.
