From newspaper obituary - 1948:
Funeral at York Mills
The funeral of Mrs Elmer Wilkin was held from her late home in York Mills Wednesday afternoon, May 19 and in spite of wet weather, it was attended by a large gathering.
Rev. W. E. Aitken of the United Church conducted the funeral service. A quartette from the local chapter S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. of which her son Lloyd is a member rendered two fine selections: "We Shall Know As We Are Known" and "The Beautiful Land". Piano accompaniment by Mrs Linda Little. There were many beautiful flowers and interment was made at York Mills (sic).
Mrs Wilkin was a highly esteemed resident of this community. A daughter of the late James and Annie Little she was born fifty-nine years ago, in the house where she died. Later she was married in it and here she and Mr Wilkin brought up their two children, Lloyd, now married and living near the old home and Pauline, the daughter.
Besides her husband, these two children and two grandchildren, Mrs Wilkin is survived by three sisters, Mrs John Briggs, Mrs Lorne Little of York Mills, Mrs Leonard Thomas, Providence, R.I., and one brother, Kenneth, York Mills.
Mrs Wilkin had been in failing health for over a year.
She married Thomas "Elmer" Wilkin, son of John Wilkin & Mary Anne "Annie" Dorcas, 26 Dec 1911 in Harvey Presbyterian Church Records. Born 25 Dec 1885 in Wilmot, York Co. Died 18 Apr 1960 in Victoria Public Hospital, Fredericton. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
