100. John Lewis "Jack" Embleton. Son of Joseph Twizell Embleton (link to Embleton family pages) & Isabella Little. Born 19 Jan 1876. Christen 2 May 1876 in Harvey Presbyterian Church. Died 7 Mar 1944 in York Mills. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

    Died as York Mills

    Harvey, NB, March 11 -- Friends of John Embleton of York Mills were shocked to learn that he had passed away very suddenly this morning following a heart attack.  He had been in poor health for some time.  He was a lifelong resident of Harvey and was well known and highly regarded by a large circle of friends.  He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Belle Lister of Harvey; one daughter, Mrs Roy Piercy, of York Mills; one son, Lester; and five grandchildren; and one brother, David Embleton, of Coburn.

 

    He married Isabella Victoria "Bell" Lister, daughter of Edward Irving Lister & Mary Ann Piercy, 23 Sep 1903 in Harvey. Born 27 Dec 1879 in Harvey. Christen 8 Jun 1880 in Harvey Presbyterian Church. Died 21 Dec 1950 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

 

    Jack and his wife Bell lived at Upper York Mills, and had three children.

 

    They had the following children:
