141. Harold B. Thomas. Son of Richard Thomas & Ellen Little. Born 19 Nov 1888 in Thomaston Corner. Died 3 Sep 1937 in Toronto, Ont. Buried in St Stephen Rural Cemetery. Occupation Railway Engineer.

 

    Copied from newspaper obituary (1937):

    Former St. Stephen Man Killed in Toronto

    St. Stephen, Sept 3 -- Friends in St. Stephen of Harold Thomas received word today of his sudden death in Toronto.  No particulars were sent, but it was understood he was killed on the railway, as he had been employed as a railway engineer.

    He was formerly of St. Stephen, and the body will be brought here for burial in the family lot at the Rural Cemetery, likely on Monday.  Besides his wife, who resided in Toronto, he is survived by his mother, Mrs Richard Thomas, St. Stephen; three brothers, George and Allison, St. Stephen, and Hugh, McAdam; and five sisters, Mrs Allen Murphy and Mrs William Struensee, New York; Mrs A. H. McMurtree, Toronto; Mrs Charles Watson, in the West, and Miss Stella Thomas, Toronto.

    Mr Thomas had a brother who was killed on the railway some years ago.

 

    He married Mary.

    Harold and his wife Mary lived in Toronto.  No children.  After Harold's death, Mary married a Mr Ford.
