McAdam -- The death of one of McAdam's oldest residents, Ernest Abner Little, occurred at the MacLeran Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was 93.

A native of Manners Sutton, York County, he was a son of the late Robert and Christina Little. He came to McAdam in 1897 and entered the employ of the Canadian Pacific Railway, retiring in 1942.

He was a member of the International Association of Machinists, Granite Lodge No. 115. In 1969, he was presented with a certificate and pin marking his 50th year of membership in the association. He was the association's oldest member.

Surviving are his wife, the former Annie Moffitt of Tweedside; one son, Hazen, McAdam; two daughters, Mrs Sydney Beck, Westwood, Mass., and Mrs Lawrence Thomas, McAdam; two brothers, LeBaron and Hillman, both of Harvey Station; one sister, Mrs Robert Dorcas, Harvey Station; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held at the residence with the Rev Gordon Delong officiating. Mrs Emil Olsen was solosit. Pallbearers were Ralph Malone, Charles McAuley, Andrew Luff, Arnold Thomas, Richard Ellison and Warren Woodcock. Interment was in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam.

He married Annie May Moffitt, daughter of Thomas Moffitt & Mary Ann Wightman, 31 Aug 1904 in York Co., NB. Born 10 Dec 1885 in Harvey Station, NB. Died 1 Oct 1973 in MacLean Memorial Hospital, McAdam. Buried in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam.

McAdam -- Funeral services for Mrs Annie M. Little, widow of Ernest Little, were held from the residence, Highfield Avenue, McAdam, with Rev J. E. Campbell officiating.

Pallbearers were David Little, Harold Little, Paul Thomas, Wayne Thomas, Warren Beck, and George Lister Jr. Interment was made in the Rockland Cemetery, McAdam.

Mrs Little's death occurred at MacLean Memorial Hospital, McAdam, following a short illness. Born at Harvey Station in 1886, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Ann Moffitt. She resided in McAdam for the greater part of her life and was one of the community's oldest citizens. She was honorary president of the Rockland Drive United Baptist Church Bible class at the time of her death.

She is survived by one son, Hazen, McAdam; two daughters, Mrs Sidney Beck, Westwood, Mass.; and Mrs Lawrence Thomas, McAdam; two brothers, Russell and Roy Moffitt, Harvey Station; three sisters, Mrs Herbert Bull, Mrs Horace Nason and Mrs Gerald D. Nason, all of McAdam; seven grandsons, one granddaughter, and 11 great grandchildren.
