142. Hugh Arnold Thomas. Son of Richard Thomas & Ellen Little. Born 10 Oct 1890 in Thomaston Corner. Died 5 Jul 1971. Buried in St Stephen Rural Cemetery.

    Hugh lived in McAdam, and had four children by first marriage, and two children by second marriage.

 

   He first married Millicent Addie Nason, 27 Sep 1911 in York Co., NB. Born 16 Jun 1893. Died 1 Jul 1924. Buried in St Stephen Rural Cemetery.

    Millicent died at age of 30 years.

 

    They had the following children:

410 iii. William "Irving" Thomas

411 iv. Phyllis Evelyn Thomas

 

    He second married Dorothy Elizabeth Robison, daughter of Andrew "Dan" Robison & Frances Miller, 12 Dec 1926 in Manners Sutton, York Co., NB . Born 20 Feb 1904 in Harvey, NB . Died 15 Apr 1990 in DECH, Fredericton. Buried in St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.

 

    From The Daily Gleaner, 16 Apr 1990:

    THOMAS

    On Sunday, April 15, 1990, Dorothy Elizabeth Thomas, formerly of McAdam and Saint John, passed away after a brief illness at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, widow of the late Hugh A. Thomas.  Predeceased by one son Stanton L. Thomas of Peterborough, Ontario.  Survived by one son Blaine Thomas of Kelly Creek, Kingsclear; three step-sons Arnold, Lawrence and Irvine, all of McAdam; one step-daughter Mrs William Walsh (Phyllis) of Fairfield, Conn., one sister Mrs Henry McGiven (Louise) of Oregon, Wis., 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren.

    Resting at Swan Funeral Home, Harvey, until Wednesday noon then will rest at St. Andrew's United Church with funeral service at 2:30 pm, Rev. Ruth Stuart officiating.  Visiting at the funeral home Monday 7 - 8:30 pm, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  Cremation to follow.  Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice if so desired.

 

   They had the following children:
