99. James "Kenneth" Embleton. Son of Joseph Twizell Embleton (link to Embleton family pages) & Isabella Little. Born 1873 in Harvey. Christen 15 Mar 1874 in Harvey Presbyterian Church. Died 20 May 1930 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Farmer.

 

    From newspaper obituary - 1930:

    Kenneth Embleton

    Harvey Station, May 21 -- The death of Kenneth Embleton occurred at his home at an early hour yesterday morning after a few weeks' illness.  He was 57 years of age and the second son of the late Joseph and Isobel Embleton.  Deceased was well known and highly respected by all who knew him.  He is survived by his wife and one son, Irvine, and one daughter, Ida, both at home; three brothers, Alfred, McAdam; John, York Mills, and David, who lives on the old homestead at Coburn.

    The funeral was held from his late home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, Rev.J. H. MacLean having charge of the service.

 

    He married Lottie Selena Lister, daughter of Edward Irving Lister & Mary Ann Piercy, 10 Oct 1900 in York Co., NB. Born 27 Mar 1882 in Harvey. Died 2 Feb 1971 in Harvey Community Hospital. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

 

    Lottie died 2 Feb 1971, age 88 yr 10 mo 6 days, at Harvey Community Hospital.

 

    Kenneth and Lottie were farmers.  They lived on Lot 11, second tier, next to Thomas Wilson.  Kenneth was a well-known Jersey breeder and established the third herd in the Harvey area in 1913.  After his death, his son Irvine continued on the farm.

    Kenneth and Lottie had three children.

 

    They had the following children:

313 ii. Avis Isabel Embleton

314 iii. Ida Isabelle Embleton
