257. Olive Isabella Craig. Daughter of John Thompson Craig (link to Thompson family pages) & Janet "Jennie" McGowan. Born 6 Mar 1900 in Harvey. Died 22 Jun 1920 in Harvey. Buried in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Occupation Teacher. Religion Presbyterian.

    Attended Provincial Normal School in Fredericton 1917/18.  Taught school in Charlotte County.  Came home to Harvey, not completing her second year, and was in bed about a month before she died.  Lung trouble.

    Miss Olive Isabel Craig

    Harvey Station, June 24 -- Miss Olive Isabel Craig, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs John S. Craig of Manners Sutton died at her home there on Tuesday after an illness of three months.  She was in the twenty-first year of her age and had for more than two years been engaged in teaching school in different parts of the province.  She had held the position of organist in the church at Manners Sutton which position she filled with marked ability; she also engaged in Sunday school work.  She is survived by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.  An aged grandfather and grandmother also survive her.  She took a deep interest in all religious and educational work and was one of the leaders in the work of the church.  The funeral which was held at her late residence yesterday afternoon was one of the most largely attended ever seen here.  The service was conducted by Rev. J. F. McKay.
